About the event

Objective:

The tournament aims to provide a platform for carrom players to showcase their skills and compete at different levels of expertise.

Rules and Guidelines: Eligibility:
  1. The event is open to students from classes 6 to 8 of participating schools.
  2. There will be 2 participants from each school.
EQUIPMENT
  1. The coins and the board will be provided by the school.
Format of Play
  1. The tournament will be held in a knockout format
  2. Players face each other in a one-on-one matchup, the winner advances to the next round, and the loser exits the board.
  3. Order of players competing will be selected in the format of a lucky draw on the day of the event.
  4. The tournament committee will draw the fixtures.
  5. The time for each match will be 10 minutes and the final match will be 20 minutes
Point system:
  1. A game consists of 15 points or 4 boards, whichever comes first.
  2. The Red ‘Queen’, can be pocketed at any time after sinking the first piece by a participant.
  3. After pocketing the queen, a covering is required. The winner of a board collects one point for each of the opponent’s carrom man left at the finish and two points for the queen if pocketed by the winner.
Disqualification:
  1. Collusion with spectators or other players, and violations of the touch-move rule.
